Let’s Go! –Beat the Guinness Book Of World Record for Knock Out November 10 at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame
The Birth Place of Basketball is aiming for a world record that will land it in the Guinness Book of World Records. Be a part of history by participating in the Guinness Book of World Records Knock Out Challenge at the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame Saturday, November 10. The Honorable Mayor Domenic Sarno, local celebrities, mascots, the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) and members of the community have already signed up to participate in the Challenge.
How to Register: Register online at MAACachusetts.com or at participating outlets. Everyone that registers prior to November 9th will receive a free ticket to the MAAC Basketball Championships in March of 2013, right here at the MassMutual Center. Those who register the day of the event will receive a discount offer for the MAAC Championships. Event Details: This event will take place at Center Court in the Basketball Hall of Fame. You can also register day-of from 10 to 10:45 a.m. with the first shot starting at 11 a.m. The winner of Knock Out will walk away with a grand prized valued at $500. Also, while participants wait to take their shot, local restaurants will be on-site to offer a sampling of their food and/or coupons and discounts to their establishments.
Who can participate? Anyone and everyone! As long as you can shoot a basketball you can participate in the Knock Out Challenge. No need to bring a basketball since they will be provided at the site. “Being in the Birthplace of Basketball, it just made sense to go after a world record in Knock Out basketball,” said Global Spectrum’s Matt Hollander, General Manager of the MassMutual Center. “We are using this Knock Out event to kick off All Session tickets going on sale for the 2013 MAAC Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championships,” being held at the MassMutual Center March 7-11, 2013.
