All under one roof, the MassMutual Center boasts over 100,000 sq. ft. of meeting space including:
- 40,000 square-foot dividable Exhibition Hall
- 5,000 sq. ft. Exhibition Hall Pre-function space
- Elegant 15,000 sq. ft. column-free Ballroom, divisible into three sections, for meetings & events
- Five Meeting Rooms directly adjacent to the Exhibition Hall, which can be used in a variety of combinations to accommodate a varying meeting agenda
- Two 7,000 sq. ft. Pre-function areas (1 on each level) with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the City and Court Square
Designed with the needs of both the Convention Planner and Attendees in mind, our two modern exhibit halls offer 40,000 square feet of contiguous space enhanced by expansive 27’ ceilings that can be configured or combined to fulfill all of your exhibition goals. The Exhibit Halls are flexible enough to accommodate a tradeshow, special session or meeting right on the show floor.
A loading dock with four covered bays and two rollup doors are available for loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles. Dock levelers accommodate vehicles of all sizes. The loading dock is located on the south side of the building with an entrance on State Street. In addition, there is one elephant door that allows vehicles as large as a tractor-trailer to drive directly into the Exhibition Hall.
The MassMutual Center’s 15,000 contiguous sq. ft. Grand Ballroom can accommodate up to 1,500 people and is Western New England’s largest Ballroom—a perfect setting for your banquet, general sessions, or entertainment. This elegant Ballroom can also be subdivided into three sections to support simultaneous presentations or special events. Built-in technology fulfills the most ambitious AV requirement. There’s even a Green Room for your speakers or entertainer.
We offer five spacious Meeting Rooms that can be used separately or in a variety of combinations to fit your meeting and event needs. The Meeting Rooms are adjacent to the Exhibit Hall with a separate Pre-Function area.
Pre-Function Spaces – Exhibition Hall, Meeting Room, and Ballroom
Three pre-function spaces can be used for registration, information, breaks, cocktail receptions or other special events. All pre-function spaces are centrally located with floor-to-ceiling windows and direct flow into the exhibit halls and meeting rooms. Electric, telephone and internet access are available at designated areas.
The arena boasts 19,000 square feet of floor space and can seat up to 8,000 spectators. Since it holds an ice rink, it also functions as the home of the Thunderbirds, Springfield’s AHL hockey team.
In addition to hockey, the arena can be used for a variety of performances:

- Musical concerts
No matter the event, our innovative arena configurations can fit both crowd and performers.
In addition to regular stadium seating, the arena has two upgraded areas, one of which is The Executive Perch. These seats are set at the same level as the top tier, providing an incredible view of any game or show. Comfy couches and padded chairs serve as seats, with tables to hold food and beverages. There’s also access to a minibar and refrigerated refreshments as well as custom catering menus.
The other upgraded option, the VIP Suites, are also set high in the arena. This area has bar-style seating, catering options, and even a private bar. Smaller than the Perch, it is a great option for private events.
